MAJOR MOTORCYCLE BRANDS RANKED WORST TO BEST

MOTORCYCLE BRANDS

Many factors can influence your decision to purchase a specific motorcycle brand. These include value for money, performance, heritage, and efficiency, all of which contribute to this ranking. However, the best indicator of a motorcycle brand’s overall quality is its reliability. After all, no one wants to spend more time and money than necessary on maintenance and repairs. While safety should be a major concern when purchasing a vehicle, this is especially true for motorcycles.

This information is useful if you’re in the market for a new motorcycle or are simply a current owner looking to compare your brand to its competitors. While it’s undeniable that some motorcycles are more reliable than others produced by the same manufacturer, it’s wise to generalize a brand as a whole, as they tend to use the same manufacturing methods across their product lines and adhere to the same build quality standards, taking into account budgetary constraints and design principles. This ranking determines which motorcycles take the best care of their owners and keep them out of the garage, while also taking into account other factors, such as customer feedback and popularity, to determine the major brands that stand out.

Aprilia

Stereotypically, Italian motorcycles offer riders more thrills and style, but are generally considered less reliable than many of their Japanese and European counterparts. Based in Noale, Italy, Aprilia is a motorcycle manufacturer renowned worldwide for its high-performance motorcycles, many of which are renowned for their build quality. The Aprilia RSV4 is one example, described as “rock-solid” by some of its enthusiasts. Yet, Aprilia ranks poorly in reliability reports due to issues that appear to affect a large portion of its product line, such as expanding fuel tanks, melted wiring harnesses, rectifier malfunctions, oil leaks, and general corrosion.

NIU

Yet, while prioritizing form over function can leave Aprilia struggling in terms of reliability, a well-maintained Aprilia can do you a world of good by allowing you to rack up respectable mileage before major maintenance. Like its Italian sister, Ducati, Aprilia is an exotic brand, and a modicum of respect is necessary to get the most out of your machine. With its range of ambitious and elegantly designed vehicles, including the RSV4, Tuono V4, and RS660 sports bikes, as well as its Tuareg 660 ADV, the brand maintains a loyal following

You may not yet be familiar with NIU Technologies, but this ten-year-old Chinese company is a leader in the electric mobility market. It produces a full range of products, from electric scooters to electric bicycles and motorcycles. The brand was founded in 2014 and quickly launched the N series, its flagship electric scooter, in 2015.

NIU motorcycles is an electric bike state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery motors. These motors deliver nothing extraordinary, but consistent power.
While NIU’s innovation is promising, it still hasn’t managed to compete with more established manufacturers in the industry, which explains its ranking at the bottom of our list. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what NUI and the electric motorcycle industry have in store for us in the near future. Hero MotoCorp is an Indian motorcycle manufacturer renowned for its affordability and reliability. Originally known as Hero Honda, the brand dominated the Indian two-wheeler market for over two decades, between 1984 and 2010.
